Automation of business processes means EMC Documentum eRoom and eFlow provides an analysis of the enterprise, determine the composition of jobs, roles, users, categories of documents and their attributes.
Item Folder is commonly used in the context of a workplace user to perform one or more tasks to advance the document on the process within the web-portal eRoom. From the Folder can start an unlimited number of routing elements.
Created by eFlow business processes can operate as regular files, and composite (virtual) documents. To create a compound document using object eRoom type "Note". To deliver on the process of a set of related tethers or other elements of eRoom (compound document) must attach the necessary objects to the notes. A note in the context of eFlow can serve as a commission or a virtual instrument.
Below is an example of business process templates, created by means eFlow and Microsoft Visio:
File format Microsoft Visio, containing the template is placed in the working folder eRoom. To compile a template, you must select a document Microsoft Visio (vsd-file) and call the module compilation eFlow Compiler.
As a result, the compilation creates a separate room eRoom, including the structure of jobs associated with each route and the rules of the movement of documents identified in a number of Microsoft Visio.
After the automatic creation of a new room, fulfilling the function of routing the documents need only to determine the permissions on folders eRoom and prescribe the field cards of documents used in conventional junctions.
Rooms eRoom, containing the generated processes are referred to by name page chart Microsoft Visio. Below is an example of the room with the name "Express-ord", given in last diagram:
In each folder of the room containing the generated template business process will be user interface elements corresponding to elements of the eFlow (elements of Copy, Move, Conditional Copy, Split, UI Link) in a Microsoft Visio diagram.
For each room automatically create a table control execution. With this item, you can learn:
• how many documents or orders located at a certain artist or in the execution process;
• how much time is looking for a document from the Executive;
• location in the process of any other document.
Table of performance monitoring is automatically updated each time you move documents or instructions on the process.
To create more complex reports on the process is recommended to use the standard functions of the export control of the table in CSV format for further processing.
eFlow comes with templates of typical processes for document management (eRoom Business Process Templates).
Technology development of business processes in eFlow includes the following steps.
1) Create a stage of the process or user workstations using elements Folder. At this point, it is recommended to determine the most common stages or guiding role of the process.
2) Connect the Folder in the required sequence with an element Move. In this step, the process is ready for compilation and execution.
Set for each element Move set mandatory attributes card document.
4) Detailing every stage of the process by adding thereto substeps or performers.
For example, Folder "Harmonization
5) Connection allocated substeps operators Split, Conditional Copy.
6) Determination of the Move as a team, performing the function of the assignment of performers at each stage of the process.
7) Defining appropriate for each command parameter Move Folder, allowing to classify the work performed at each stage of the process or a certain performer
